Frequently Asked Questions

Northern Lights RV Resort is designed as a place to relax, reconnect, and belong. Below are answers to the questions we’re asked most often. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we’re always happy to help — just reach out.

Living & Length of Stay

Can I live at the resort full-time?
Northern Lights RV Resort is for recreational use only. It is not permitted to use the resort or any campsite as a permanent residence, primary home, or mailing address. That said, many members spend extended seasonal stays and visit often throughout the year — enjoying all the comforts of a long-term getaway without it being a permanent residence.

Can I have an assigned site?
No, all developed sites are first-come-first-served not intended for continuous use. Units cannot remain on campsites when unoccupied. Sites must be fully cleared of all personal items upon each departure. We offer on-site RV Storage for your convenience.

Campsites & Structures

Can I build a deck or add permanent structures to my site?
Permanent structures — including decks, landings, sheds, fences, clotheslines, or similar installations — are not permitted. This helps maintain the natural beauty of the resort and ensures consistency and safety for all members.

Can I landscape or modify my campsite?
Digging, landscaping, altering terrain, or attaching items to trees or structures is not permitted. Hammocks and lighting are allowed, provided they don’t damage trees and are removed when you leave your site.

How many people are allowed per site?
Each campsite is designed to accommodate 1 camping unit and up to six people from one family unit.

Can I bring guests?

  • Pets are not permitted in cabins, buildings, playgrounds, pool areas, washrooms, or food areas.

How many vehicles can I have on my site?
