Sponsorship Opportunities

Cowboy Fest in the Pines is a three-day country music and western culture festival celebrating rural Alberta, live entertainment, western hospitality, and community connection.

​

Hosted at Northern Lights RV Resort in Smoky Lake, Alberta, the event includes live country musicians, cowboy poetry, horse-drawn wagon rides, dancing, food trucks, a vendor market, kids’ activities, a live auction, 50/50 draws, evening campfire sing-alongs, and overnight camping.

After successfully hosting Cowboy Fest in the Pines in 2025, we are excited to continue growing the event in 2026 with expanded sponsorship opportunities, increased promotion, and more ways for local businesses and community partners to be recognized.

Why Sponsor Cowboy Fest?

Sponsorship helps support a regional event that brings visitors to Vilna and the County of Smoky Lake while celebrating Alberta’s western culture and rural community spirit.

Sponsorship Levels

Bronze Sponsor — $200

 

Includes:

  • Logo recognition on the Cowboy Fest webpage

  • Recognition in social media thank-you

  • Opportunity to provide business signage for display at the event

Silver Sponsor — $500

 

Includes all bronze benefits, plus:

  • Social media mention before the event

  • Sponsor acknowledgement during the event

  • Logo included in post-event sponsor recognition

  • Opportunity to provide promotional material for the sponsor table or welcome area

Gold Sponsor — $1,000

 

Includes all silver benefits, plus:

  • Dedicated sponsor spotlight post on Facebook

  • More prominent logo placement on the Cowboy Fest webpage

  • Recognition in event email or post-event communication

  • Featured recognition during activity or entertainment segment

Community Partner Opportunities

In addition to standard sponsorship levels, businesses and organizations may choose to support a specific part of the festival. These opportunities are ideal for sponsors who want a more visible or meaningful connection to the event experience. In-kind sponsors will receive recognition based on the value and nature of the contribution.

  • Kids Zone Sponsor

    • Help provide activities, equipment, or programming for children and families.​

    • Examples:

      • donate bubbles or glow sticks

      • donate skipping ropes or soccer balls

  • Campfire Sing-Along Sponsor

    • Support the evening campfire gathering and western sing-along experience.​

    • Examples:

      • provide hotdogs, buns and condiments for the weiner roast​

      • provide marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate for smores

  • Refreshment Station Sponsor

    • A great fit for businesses looking to sponsor a welcoming guest experience.​

    • Examples:

      • provide ice cream or freezies for an ice cream station

      • provide lemonade, paper cups, and large jugs for an afternoon lemonade stand​

      • provide hot chocolate, paper cups, and coffee urns for an evening warm-up station

  • Entertainment Sponsor

    • Support live music, cowboy poetry, or evening performances.​

    • Examples:

      • donate or loan stage lights or event tent lighting​

      • donate or loan event tent decorations

      • donate hay bails for seating and decoration

  • Vendor Market Sponsor

    • Help showcase local artisans, makers, and western-themed vendors.​

    • Examples:

      • donate or loan vendor tents or tables​

      • donate or loan large jugs for a vendor water or lemonade station

  • Volunteer Hospitality Sponsor

    • Support meals, refreshments, or appreciation for the volunteers who help make the event possible.​

    • Examples:

      • donate granola bars, juice boxes, or water for voltunteers​

      • donate gift certificate or business discount for volunteers​

  • In-Kind Sponsorship

    • We welcome in-kind sponsorships that help offset event costs or enhance the guest experience.

    • Examples may include: printing, signage, marketing support, fuel, equipment, fencing or barriers, hay bails for the wagon rides​, horse feed or water trough rental for the horses.

Live Auction Donations

One of the highlights of Cowboy Fest in the Pines is our live auction, where community members and local businesses come together to support an important cause while adding excitement and fun to the weekend.

In 2025, generous donations included handmade quilts, artwork, gift certificates, western décor, hay bales, local products, experiences, and more.

​

Proceeds from the live auction support Haying in the 30's Cancer Support Society that assists individuals and families undergoing cancer treatment.

​

We welcome donations of:

  • Gift certificates

  • Handmade or artisan items

  • Home décor or western-themed items

  • Experiences or services

  • Local products or specialty items

  • Equipment, tools, or outdoor items

  • Unique or memorable auction pieces

Businesses and individuals who contribute auction items will be recognized during the event and appreciated as valued community supporters of Cowboy Fest in the Pines.
